Raspberry Iced Tea

You can always tell it's summer by the constant presence of iced tea in the fridge. Whether it's plain jane iced tea, Carolina sweet tea, "meadow tea" or raspberry, there is usually something refreshing waiting for me.

Yum. Summer is so delicious.

We currently have raspberry iced tea in the fridge, thanks to Leah. It's such a nice addition to summer that I wanted to share it with you.

Raspberry Iced Tea

4 quarts water
1 1/2 c sugar
12oz of frozen or fresh raspberries
10 tea bags
1/4 c lemon juice

In a large Dutch oven, bring water and sugar to a boil. Remove from the heat; stir until sugar is dissolved. Add the raspberries, tea bags, and lemon juice. Cover and steep for 3 minutes. Strain; discard berries and tea bags.

Transfer tea to large pitcher. Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over ice.

(I've had this recipe for awhile, so I cannot remember where it came from... maybe Better Homes and Garden)
