Misty Day

The weather is not really on our side thus far this vacation. We woke up this morning to fog and mist that never went away. We tried going to the beach for a little bit, but as you can see in this photo on my Dad's blog, it wasn't the most enjoyable lounging time). 

and humid

So we packed up and headed out to some of the nature reserves that are near Corolla. We saw Currituck Lighthouse, walked out on the Sound Boardwalk at Currituck Heritage Park, explored the area around the Whalehead Club and  and strolled on the National Estuarian Research Reserve boardwalk.

We didn't bummed out on the beach, but we certainly learned a lot about North Carolina flora and fauna.
