First harvest


It's official. I picked my first batch of spinach on Wednesday!

In my mind, I know that homegrown spinach is so much better than the stuff from the store. Yet, it never ceases to amaze me whenever I eat it for the first time each spring. So good.

This past week has been really good weather for spinach. It was cool at night and warm during the day. So when I went over to my patch at the Baker's, I found a forrest of spinach. I will actually freeze some today, which feels pretty amazing since this is only my second pick.

Spring is such a great time of the year. I know I cannot stop gushing about it on my blog. Oh well. It still remains true. Tonight, we're going to grill up some chicken and I am going to have the best salad of my life.
