Awhile ago, I decided that for my 30th birthday, I wanted to go see Hamilton with my sister. So tickets were bought and plans were made to head up to Chicago in the summer. Then, we found out our parents were going to be in downstate Illinois at my brother's house that same week. So thus Leah and I decided to meet up there for a couple of days with all the kids. Highlights included seeing Titus' team win their championship baseball game, visits to Eli's coffee shop, seeing my sister-in-law's bridal store's new space, going to the Riverfront Museum in Peoria (freezing our shadows was the best!) and playing at the pumpkin park. (I also got to see my friend Kari, and meet her 4 day old baby Silas).
