Springtime 2026: March

Low and behold, time has gotten away from me again since I last blogged. Basically all of spring has already passed me by. I still enjoy having this blog despite my behavior to the contrary. (I sorely neglect this blog). But here I am! Capturing an entire spring season in one go. (Well actually, I am going do divide this up into a series otherwise the photo scrolling will get too long)

March

March was a pretty quite month. Or maybe a transition period between what I call the slow months of winter to the faster paced months of spring. But things started to bloom, which revived my depressed spirit. Here are the highlights

The Paralympics were on! Since I still had my peacock subscription, I was able to watch the Paralympics while I worked. This was amazing (and similar to what I did during the Olympics). It helped my work days go by much faster.
I took sewing 4.0. Once again I am in my sewing class. I am still working on the basics and trying to learn how to read a pattern (which honestly might be the hardest part for me).
I made another apron, which might be the worst thing I've made so far. Lol. Oh well. I am learning.

I met up with a friend for tea! I don't see Alyssa very often, but I think it's safe to say we are becoming friends. So that feels nice. Making friends as an adult is one of the hardest things I've ever done.
I was in the kitchen baking! This month's highlight were these Polish (slightly) sweet cheese buns I made. I was very proud of them.
I went on Matcha walks! This time the main matcha highlight was this coffee shop pop up place called Kape. They pop up all around the city and will stay at a place for weeks/months at a time. This time they are in German village, which is walkable, despite it being a long one).
My cousin and I went to see the Outsiders! Another Broadway musical in the books.
Betha and I also had an adventure in Bexley! First, we stopped by another matcha/chai pop up (Sufi) to get drinks before we headed to Gramercy and then stopped at a gluten free bakery for a sweet treat. Betha is trying to do 40 trips for 40 years (since she turned 40 back in Feb). Most of them will just be around the area. So this one counted.
My mother-in-law and I checked out a new coffee place! We recently started doing this and it's been a lot of fun. I got a coffee butter latte. Yum!
I bribed my depression! My therapist encouraged me to do this when I told her I was struggling to do any of the spring cleaning that was looming all around me. So I made a list and when I was done with the list I got to have a treat. This time, my treat was going to the bookstore and picking something out. It worked very well. Highly recommend. (Below is my treat).
And finally, I went to my internet book club again! Honestly, I don't like this internet book club very much. But all my usual excuses didn't work this time. (My sewing class was cancelled. I finished the book. The location was moved to a place that was only 7 minutes away from me). So I went. It was a beautiful night to sit at a rooftop bar. So that as fun.

And there you have it. That was March. The next two months post are coming up soon!
